Mish McCormack
Exercise has always played a dominant role in Mish's life and resulted in her being featured in the book 'Sunrise from the Summit' in which 18 inspiring New Zealand sports women share their stories.
Other noteable achievements include appearing on stage in Columbus, Ohio with Arnold Schwarzenegger, working as a stunt double on the popular Xena Warrior Princess TV series and featuring on the covers of two national fitness magazines and a leading Australian women's fitness magazine.
It was only natural that Mish's sporting background should lead her to complete a certificate of Fitness Management form the University of Otago, and from there became a Personal Trainer. Mish looks at exercise as a preventative medicine and it concerns her that New Zealanders are more overweight and out of shape now then ever before. She is passionate about changing this by improving the lifestyles of New Zealanders and her goal is to use her skills to improve as many lives as she can through encouraging and motivating people to exercise more and eat better.
As a firm believer in the importance of taking health and wellness beyond the gym walls and out to where people live and work Mish, together with her business partner, founded MIshfitness Limited in 2006 as the company through which to promote her innovative and unique Team MIshfitness workplace and suburban health and wellness programmes. She now leads an expanding team of exercise professionals working in those environments where people feel much more comfortable about exercising.
Mish has been profiled in a number of newspaper, magazine and television interviews and is a regular contributor to Fitness Life, New Zealand's leading health and fitness magazine. She has been described as "a pint sized dynamo, a supple blonde version of an energizer battery that keeps on going and going". Married and a mother to a eight year old daughter, Mish is totally passionate and committed to helping all New Zealanders improve their health and wellness.
Max Bowyer
After a successful career in business spanning many years at both senior management and director levels, Max is now following his passion to help New Zealanders improve their health and fitness.
Exercise has been an important part of Max's lifestyle since entering the workforce after completing an engineering degree from the University of Canterbury. On becoming semi-retired, he undertook a course of study which led him to working for a time as a Personal Trainer at one of New Zealand's leading gyms in Wellington.
Recognising the growing demand for health and wellness services beyond the gym walls, Max joined MIsh in establishing Mishfitness Limited, a business specialising in offering innovative health and wellness programmes in the workplace and suburban environments, in an effort to get more otherwise sedentary New Zealanders leading active and healthier lifestyles.
Max currently works with Mish in an administrative role developing and implementing the policies and procedures necessary for Mishfitness personnel to be able to provide world class health and wellness programmes supported with the appropriate quality control and reporting structures as demanded by corporate clients from the providers of such services.
